Vriksha Dental Care & Implant Centre
At Vriksha Dental Care & Implant Centre, we specialize in root canal therapy (endodontics) to treat infected or damaged tooth pulp, relieve pain, and preserve your natural tooth. Contrary to common fears, modern root canal treatment is comfortable, often completed in one or two visits, and essential for maintaining your oral health.
Root canal therapy becomes necessary when decay reaches the pulp (the soft tissue inside the tooth), causing inflammation, infection, or abscess. Symptoms may include severe toothache, sensitivity to hot or cold, swelling, or tenderness. Our goal is to eliminate infection, protect the tooth structure, and restore function.
The procedure involves removing the infected pulp, thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the root canals, then filling and sealing them with a biocompatible material. We use digital radiography and advanced magnification to ensure precision. Local anesthesia keeps you comfortable throughout, and most patients describe the experience as similar to getting a routine filling.
After root canal therapy, the tooth is typically restored with a crown to protect it and restore full function. With proper care, a root canal-treated tooth can last a lifetime. We provide detailed aftercare instructions and schedule follow-up visits to monitor healing.
Your visit begins with a thorough examination and digital X-rays to assess the extent of infection and root anatomy. After administering local anesthesia, we isolate the tooth with a rubber dam to keep it clean and dry. A small opening is made in the crown to access the pulp chamber and canals. Using tiny instruments, we remove the infected tissue, clean and shape the canals, and disinfect the area.
The canals are then filled with a biocompatible material called gutta-percha and sealed. In most cases, a temporary filling is placed, and you'll return for a permanent crown to fully restore the tooth. We prioritize your comfort at every stage and are available for any concerns during recovery.
